HOW IT WAS MADE
After being disappointed by AI visual options for the cover of Darkness Has Risen, Solomon decided to use my art for the cover instead. The AI reference was too static, smooth, and lifeless. I approached the assignment with Solomon's brief in mind, along with visual references he provided for tone and color palette. The result was a dynamic, classical, epic design with thoughtful and powerful visual elements.
GOOD VS EVIL
The angel and the devil were illustrated in an epic pose - a classic and formidable battle stance with the angel gracefully taking the higher ground through the power of the Heavens.
THE INFERNO
When illustrating the inferno below the devil I wanted to add provocative imagery such as tortured souls within the dancing flames. The figures' forms are barely visible, and the details are made up of flames.
